Auto Accident Chiropractic in Woodbury

Woman with neck pain after car accident

If you’ve recently been in a car accident, you may be feeling sore, shaken, or unsure of what to do next. Even minor collisions can lead to pain, stiffness, and stress that don’t show up right away. At Parno Family Chiropractic, we provide compassionate, effective care to support your recovery—while also helping you navigate the insurance process—so you can focus on feeling better.

Getting care soon after an accident can make a meaningful difference in how your body heals and may help prevent long-term issues from developing later on. In Minnesota, chiropractic and massage therapy are typically covered through auto insurance, so you can often receive care with little to no out-of-pocket cost.

Whether you’re a current patient or new to our practice, we’re here to help you get started quickly and comfortably.

What Happens to Your Body After an Auto Accident

Auto accidents commonly cause whiplash, which occurs when your head and neck are suddenly forced forward and backward. This can lead to misalignment in the spine, muscle strain, and irritation of nearby nerves.

Symptoms don’t always appear right away—but without proper care, these injuries can contribute to ongoing pain, stiffness, limited mobility, or recurring headaches over time.

Your First Visit: What to Expect

Your initial visit typically lasts about 45 minutes and includes a detailed history, examination, and—when appropriate—your first adjustment.

If imaging is needed, we’ll refer you to a trusted local center where X-rays are reviewed by chiropractic radiologists to guide your care and support insurance documentation.

We also handle auto accident billing and work directly with your insurance company whenever possible. In most cases, we simply need your claim number and adjuster’s contact information—and we’re happy to help you gather anything you need.

Care and Recovery

After your evaluation, we’ll create a personalized care plan based on your specific injuries and goals.

Early care may involve more frequent visits to help reduce pain and restore mobility, followed by a gradual decrease in frequency as your body heals. Massage therapy is often an important part of recovery, and when needed, we’ll coordinate care with or refer you to other trusted providers.

Our goal is to support your recovery every step of the way—so you can return to your normal routine feeling confident and well.
