Vibroacoustic Therapy in Woodbury

Sometimes your body needs more than just physical care—it needs a chance to truly relax.

At Parno Family Chiropractic, our vibroacoustic therapy table offers a gentle, calming experience that helps your body release tension, reset your nervous system, and support overall wellness.

Using soothing sound frequencies combined with subtle vibrations, this therapy works through both your body and mind—helping you feel more relaxed, balanced, and at ease.

What Is Vibroacoustic Therapy?

Vibroacoustic therapy uses low-frequency sound waves that travel through the body as gentle vibrations while you rest comfortably on the table.

As calming music plays, these vibrations are delivered directly into your body, helping to:

  • Relax muscles
  • Calm the nervous system
  • Reduce physical and mental tension

It’s a passive, non-invasive experience—simply lie back, breathe, and let your body unwind.

How It Can Help

Vibroacoustic therapy supports both physical comfort and emotional well-being, making it a great complement to chiropractic care.

Many patients find it helpful for:

  • Reducing stress and promoting relaxation
  • Easing muscle tension and tightness
  • Supporting better sleep
  • Calming an overactive nervous system
  • Enhancing overall recovery and healing

A Safe, Gentle Experience

Vibroacoustic therapy is safe, gentle and is registered with the FDA as a Class I medical device.

The vibrations are low-frequency, adjustable and designed to work with your body—not against it. There’s no force, pressure, or discomfort involved.

Dr. Amy will guide you on how this therapy fits into your care plan and ensure it’s appropriate for your specific needs, so you always feel comfortable and supported.

What to Expect

Sessions are simple and relaxing.

You’ll lie comfortably on the vibroacoustic table, with the option to add gentle heat if you’d like, in a private, dimly lit room designed to help you fully unwind. As calming music and subtle vibrations move through your body, many patients find the experience deeply soothing—some even fall asleep.

It’s an easy way to support your body’s natural ability to relax, reset, and heal.

Who Should Avoid Vibroacoustic Therapy?

Vibroacoustic therapy is a safe and gentle experience for most people. However, there are certain situations where it may not be recommended.

This therapy may not be suitable if you:

  • Have a pacemaker or other implanted electronic medical device
  • Are pregnant (we’re happy to guide you on safe timing and options)
  • Have certain neurological conditions, such as epilepsy triggered by sound or vibration
  • Are experiencing active bleeding or acute injuries, such as fractures or severe inflammation
  • Have psychotic conditions or other medical concerns where sound or vibration stimulation may not be appropriate

If you’re unsure whether vibroacoustic therapy is right for you, we’re here to help. Dr. Amy will always review your health history, answer your questions, and make recommendations based on what’s safest and most appropriate for your body—so you can feel confident and comfortable in your care.
